OUR CEMETERIES
Since
1850, Little Lake Cemetery has been non-profit and non-denomination.
The cemetery is surrounded by the quiet waters of Little
Lake and Otonabee River. Over 150 years, this cemetery continues
to offer many burial options, including traditional grave
spaces, cremation graves and cremation columbariums which
within its niches holds cremation urns. |

 |
In 1964, the Little Lake Cemetery Company opened the picturesque Highland Park Cemetery located at 2510 Bensfort Road (at River Road South ). It was here in 1976 that the first crematorium between Toronto and Ottawa was established. |
Highland
Park Cemetery offers many burial options in its park-like
setting, including indoor and outdoor columbarium structures
for cremation urns, cremation graves, memorial wall graves
and a variety of monument and marker graves.
Also, in 1979, a section of Highland Park Cemetery was consecrated
by the Bishop of Peterborough as an official extension of
St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Peterborough. |

|
Both
Little Lake Cemetery and Highland Park Cemetery also have a
chapel where visitation and memorial or funeral services may
be held.
More recently, Highland Park Cemetery opened up a reception
centre where families may greet their relatives and friends,
after a service or committal. |
