Lillian Logan Obituary

LOGAN, Lillian Margaret (nee Nahrgang)

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Lil Logan peacefully at St. Joseph’s at Fleming on Monday, March 25th with her son Pat by her side.

Predeceased by her parents Clara and Lans Nahrgang and siblings Delores, Helen, Mamie, Lewis, and Jack, survived by her cherished sister-in-law Margaret Clark, Beloved wife of the late Arthur Logan. Loving mother of Sherrine (Terry) Beauclerc. Pat (Julie), Marcia (Gerard) Karse and predeceased by her adored daughter Julie (Randy) Johnson. She was a beloved grandmother to Michael Beauclerc, Dan (Lina) Beauclerc, Adam (Sara) Beauclerc, Joe (Ashley) Logan, Danielle (Kyle) Heffernan, Logan Karse, Jack Logan, and Mackenzie Karse. Great grandmother to Reid and Noelle Beauclerc; Addison, William, and Alora Beauclerc; Finn Logan, Nya Beauclerc and Odin Karse. Also, fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Lil devoted many years to raising her family, which she truly loved but as they grew older, she decided to go back out into the workforce and became a legal secretary for Alexander Fleming at his law office in Peterborough for over 20 years.

She was a force of nature with incredible inner strength to survive and thrive with failing health. She was even able to go out to celebrate her 97th birthday on March 10th with her family by her side, the house filled with an abundance of laughter and plenty of hugs, making new memories and reminiscing about days gone by, a wonderful tribute to a life well lived.

She was affectionately nicknamed “Diamond Lil’ for her love of jewelry and took immense pride in her appearance right up to the end. She had a wonderful sense of humour, and her infectious laugh always brightened any room.

In accordance with Lil’s wishes a private family service will be held at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Society would be appreciated.

The family wishes to send special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph’s at Fleming for making Lil’s life much brighter with your care, compassion and friendship, she made so many wonderful connections over the years with the residents and staff, and a special shout out to Paige for making her infamous “Pina Colada’s”.
