NEUMAN, Anita Marie (nee Malloy)
Peacefully with her family by her side at Hospice Peterborough, on Monday, May 25, 2026, in her 67 year. Beloved wife of Dana Neuman for 46 years. Loving mother of Corey (Carly). Cherished grandmother of Alexa, Blakelee and Kaia and special dog, Oakley. Daughter of Anna Mary and Pat Malloy, and daughter-in-law of Audrey and Walter Neuman. Dear twin sister of Anne Lavigne (Rick), Tom Malloy (Sue Freeburn), Claudine Crete (Gilles), Patricia Southern (Art), Ellen Rombough (Neil) and sister-in-law of the late Anne Baragar (the late MacLaren), Terry Neuman (the late Betty), Bill Neuman (Gloria), Judy Sawyer (Ron), David Neuman (Dianne) and Shelley Bierworth (Bob). Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Anita loved spending time her family. Always loved a family get together outside at one of the many lakes that she was fortunate to have relatives and friends have cottages and homes on. In the spring she especially loved her trips to Myrtle Beach with family and friends to golf and then golf all summer with another group of golf buddies. The winters could be long but jig-saw puzzles and walks outside put in a lot of her time. Anita volunteered with the St. Alphonsus St. Vincent de-Paul Society allowing her to meet another group of amazing friends. She retired from the Ontario Government in 2012 when she discovered she had Breast Cancer. She fought a hard battle for 14 plus years. Her faith, strength and grace were always inspiring. Friends will be received at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 1:00-4:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at ST ALPHONSUS LIGOURI ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH 1066 Western Ave., Peterborough on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 1:30 PM. Interment Highland Park Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Highland Park Funeral Centre. In memory of Anita and in lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Peterborough, St. Vincent de-Paul Society or PRHC Cancer Care would be appreciated by the family.
