Rhonda was born in Peterborough on October 18, 1952. Beloved wife of 45 years to Robert (Bob) Holland. Loving mother and grandmother of: Christopher Holland and his wife Lindsay and their daughters, Isla, Rosalyn and Estella; Lindsay Coulombe and her husband Kevin and their sons Bryson and Blake; and Ashley Holland. Devoted daughter of Doreen Manley (nee Ferguson) and the late Elwood Manley. Sister of Rodney Manley, Randee (Al) Guscott, Robin (Doug) Arnott and Reed (Nancy) Manley. Sister-in-law of Norma (Tom Gamble) Nichols, Joan (Tom) Taylor and Dan (Lisa) Holland. Aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Rhonda dedicated her entire career to the care of others as a registered nurse. Rhonda commenced her nursing career after graduating from Victoria Hospital School of Nursing (London ON) in 1973. Her career spanned over 40 years at both St. Joseph’s Hospital and Peterborough Regional Health Center, notably in orthopedics, breast screening and diabetes education. She retired in 2016.
Rhonda was very active within the community and church. She enjoyed traveling with Bob, visiting her children and grandchildren and partaking in various activities with her friends. She always ensured her family and friends felt included and stayed connected.
Rhonda’s visitation will be held at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Rhonda’s Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Otonabee on Friday at 12:00 noon. Monsignor Michael Heffernan officiating. Interment Highland Park Cemetery with reception to follow.
