Barry James Hines

HINES, Barry James: Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 in his 83rd year. Barry, loving and devoted father of Teresa Decock (Devon Woodward), Cheryl Hines, and Barry Hines (B.J). Cherished grandfather of Daniel Peddle (Kristy Van Roon), Aaron Decock (Bryanne Penner), Conor Hines, Haley McDougall (Mattie Huntley), Brianna Hines, Jack Bartlett, and great grandfather of Paige Van Roon, and Jordan Huntley-McDougall. Predeceased by his brothers Ernie (Elaine), and Doug (Linda).

Remembered lovingly by Adrianne Quinn and the late Joan Ross. In keeping with Barry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will take place in the future. Barry’s first priority was for his family, followed closely by his passion for motorcycles. As a young man, he worked at Corning Glass where he started as an order picker and left as part of the corporation top management team. This experience shaped and aided him for his success in his future business ventures including Otto-John Welding, Monarch Welding and Al Stainless.
