ELLIOTT, Bonnie (née Tapp), born September 25, 1951, in Thunder Bay, Ontario, passed away peacefully at Peterborough Hospice on Friday, March 27th, 2026. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, nurse practitioner, and cherished friend and neighbour, Bonnie touched many lives with her humour, quick wit, and warm generosity.
Bonnie met her husband, Marshall Elliott, while studying at McMaster University; they were married for 52 years. Her career as a nurse practitioner reflected her compassion and deep commitment to caring for others.
Family was Bonnie’s greatest joy. She is survived by her husband, Marshall; her children Brendan Elliott (Miyeon Park), Drew Elliott (Monica Dyer) and their children Sam, Theo and Edie; and Megan Elliott (Moto Manago) and their children Dominic and Oliver. She will also be fondly remembered by a wide circle of friends and neighbours. Bonnie adored her dog Iyla and had a lifelong fondness for Boston Terriers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bonnie’s Funeral Mass in St. Alphonsus Church on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 10:30am. Interment Little Lake Cemetery followed by a reception in Highland Park Funeral Centre.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Peterborough or Peterborough Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
