Myette, Debra Ann (nee Hewis) – After a courageous 9 month battle with cancer, Deb passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026 at Marigold Hospice in Newcastle. Beloved partner of Claude Nicolle. Dear sister of Barbara Burk and her husband John, and Christina Belk and her husband James. Proud aunt of Emma and Katie. Predeceased by her parents, Conrad Hewis and Jennifer Harding (William) and her sister Beverley Hewis. Deb most recently worked for Parmac and also previously worked for many years at Chex TV Oshawa. Private family arrangements. In memory of Deb and in keeping with one of her greatest passions of caring for animals, donations may be made to your local Humane Society or alternatively to the Canadian Cancer Society.
