DONALD OWEN HICKEN 

Donald Hicken passed away on Sunday, November 21 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre after a brief illness. Formerly from Truro, Nova Scotia, Don was a retired businessman, an active Philatelist, Life Member of the Kawartha Golf & Country Club, ex R.C.A.F., a 57 year member of the Air Force Association of Canada and a Past President of 428 Peterborough Wing, and a 58 year Member of the Associated Canadian Travelers. Don’s wish was to be cremated immediately with no visitation, with a private family arrangement at a later date. Don leaves his loving wife and best friend Joan Hicken, sons David (Helen) and Barry (Cauline), grandchildren Adam, Lauren, Krista and Bradley (Amy) and great grandchildren Clara and Zachary. I love you all, I enjoyed living and am sorry to leave, but eventually all things come to an end on earth, but not in heaven where we will all be together again sometime in the future. Donations may be made in Don’s memory to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre or the Hospital for Sick Children.
