Frances "Shelley" Michelle Card

The family of Frances Michelle “Shelley” Card (nee Seabrook) is saddened to announce her passing in her 73rd year, surrounded by her family on April 18, 2026 at Peterborough Regional Health Center (PRHC).

Shelley lived life to the fullest and brought joy to all who knew her. Known for her sense of humor, contagious laughter and her original dancing style, Shelley could always make you smile.

Shelley is survived by her husband and cherished partner, Lee of 54 years, her beloved son Matt (Cher) and her granddaughters Abby (Gabe) and Lidia who she both adored tremendously.

Survived and dearly loved by her sister Julie Atkins and survived by her brother Mike (Jan) Seabrook and family. She will be sadly missed by her in laws – Larry Card, Bob (Barbara) Card, Elaine (Terry) Nolan, her nieces and nephews - Benn (Emma), Luke (Jennie), Emily, Ryan (Shadi), Paul (Naoua), Jason (Lucy), Bobbie-Jo, Katrina, Jeff, Chris and Lori. She will also be dearly missed by her long-time close friend Linda McCormick.

Predeceased by her parents Ray and Frankie Seabrook (nee McCormick), father and mother-in-law Ed and Phyllis Card, brother-in- laws - Steve Atkins, Glenn Card and sister-in-laws - Diane Card and Jennifer Card.

The family extends a sincere thank you to the Palliative Care (D2) nurses, Dr. Blake and Dr. Dan at the PRHC.

A celebration of Shelley’s life will be held Friday, May 29, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Kawartha Golf Club, 777 Clonsilla Ave, Peterborough. We invite you to share with us some memories, stories and most of all….laughter!

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to PHRC or the Canadian Cancer Society.
