Dobratz, Grace Yvonne Mary (nee Lamothe)

Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the age of 84 with all of her children by her side. Pre-deceased by husband Stanley Dobratz, she will be joining her precious daughter Robin and leaving behind her devoted children Ginette Villeneuve (Gilles Duhaime), Leonard Dobratz and Tammy Laroche (Stephen Bowen).

Grace’s love and sense of humour will also be missed by her grandchildren Michelle (Matt), Joshua (Jamie Lynn), Sheehan, Kirk, Christian and Felicity as well as her great grandchildren Lilian, Phoenix, Deklan, Harlan, Louis and James.

Grace was born into a large, loving family of twenty-one children created by her pre-deceased parents May (nee Church) and Aristide Lamothe. Surviving Grace are her loving sister Martha Castonguay (the late Phil) and brother Richard Lamothe (Lina) along with sister-in-law Carmen Petit and many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Though Grace and her little brother Romeo Lamothe (Lynda) have recently joined family and friends in heaven, her antics, love and hugs will be missed by all who knew and immediately loved her.

Grace’s family would like to thank the staff of PRHC Palliative Care for not only the wonderful care she received but also making her wish to be home with her family happen so quickly. They would also like to thank the caring nurses and PSW’s from St. Elizabeth Healthcare for helping her family care for her at home. Together with Carole Long, Mom was able to be surrounded by love and family for her final days and leave this world with the dignity and pride she showed on earth.

A celebration of Grace’s life will be held at a later date. In memory of Grace, donations to the Hospital for Sick Children or the Ronald McDonald House would be appreciated and can be made; along with expressions of condolences at www.highlandparkfuneralcentre.com
