John Welsh

With sadness we announce that John Frederick Welsh passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the age of 64.

John was a well-known and beloved coach for KMFL, PMHA and the St. Peter’s Sr. Football team.

John is predeceased by his parents Barb and Norm, as well as his brothers Rob and Tom. 

He will be deeply missed by his wife Vicki, his children Sarah Jennissen (Gerard), Jonathon, his grandchildren Lila-Jane, William and Margaret, and his coaching helper Margaret.

Survived by his brother Jim (Tracy) and Bill (Anita); brother-in-law to Nancy (Bob deceased 2021). Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough on Monday May 11, 2026, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Words of remembrance will be shared at 1 p.m. followed by a reception.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the KMFL John Welsh Financial Grant would be appreciated by the family.
