Lois Marie Strome

Lois Marie Strome went to be with the Lord on May 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and the peace of God’s promises.

Lois was born on August 3, 1944, to Knowlton Albert Wright and Lilly Marie Wright (Ireland). She grew up on the family farm in Wallbridge, Ontario alongside her protective older brother Charlie Wright (Helen) where she developed the strong values of faith, hard work, kindness, and devotion to family that would guide her throughout her life.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, David Milton Strome, her four children, Cheryl Holdsworth (David), Stephen Strome (Johanne), Susan Nokes (Ted), Sharon Hubble (Mark); her cherished ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; as well as her extended family and many dear friends.

Lois’ unwavering faith in God was evident to all who were blessed to know her. She will always be remembered for her gentle spirit, giving heart, warm smile, passion for playing the piano, and deep love of family life. Through her example, she leaves a lasting legacy of strength, faith, stability, nurturing, and assurance in God’s love.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 11, at the BELLEVILLE Calvary Community Church at 679 Dundas St West in BELLEVILLE at 11:00 a.m. Visitation prior to the service at 10:00-10:45 a.m.

In honour of LS’s compassionate and giving heart, especially her care for women and children, donations may be made to ERDO (Emergency Relief and Development Overseas) or Peterborough Pregnancy Support Services.
