Marlene Eleanor (Corke) Jensen

I wrote this obituary myself, and asked my family to use it upon my passing. 

I died on Sunday April 26th, 2026, in my 84th year. Beloved wife of Carl for 58 years – together for 62 years. “Loving” and “Very Proud” mom of our son Mark, daughter-in-law Lorraine (Staples), and “Nanny” to grandchildren Anders (Emma Curry), Miranda, and their family dog Rosie –  I love you all forever - “toodles”.  Daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle (Thompson) Corke of Parry Sound. Sister of the late Charles and Helen, survived by Sister Faye Spiers (and her late husband Lloyd) and their family.

Thanks to Dr. Doug Turner and staff for your care and understanding over many years. Thanks and love to our neighbours, our “second family” – Tammy, Terry, Kevin, and Jonathan Hotner, and of course - Charlie their dog. What an awesome friendship I have had with so many neighbours and so many people that have made a difference in my life.

I have requested cremation and have also requested no visitation or service. In the future, there will be a private internment, with a gathering to celebrate my life to follow for friends and family. If desired, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
