McKeiver, Mary Elizabeth (née Walsh), born October 6, 1931, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Extendicare Peterborough on May 11, 2026, at the age of 94.
She was predeceased by her parents, Marie (née Dooher) and Daniel Walsh.
Mary shared a devoted and loving marriage of 61 years with her beloved husband, George. Together they built a life grounded in faith and created a home filled with warmth and enduring support for their family. Mary was the loving mother of Katie (Bruce) Robertson and Elizabeth (Michael) Moore, and cherished Nana of Jessica (Luc) Jobin, Andrew, (Rose), Hannah (Jared), and Emma Robertson, and Tristan and Jane Moore. She was also a proud great-Nana to Sophie, Melodie, Jacques, Aimée, and Charlotte Jobin.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Hugh (Mary Rose) and Desmond (Joan) Walsh, and her nephew Daniel Walsh. Mary will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and their families. She was the dear sister-in-law of Mary (Bill pred.) Connolly, Camilla (Jim) Hickson, Carl (Mary) McKeiver, and Sharon (Eugene pred.) McKeiver.
Mary will be remembered for her deep love of family, her kind and gentle spirit, and her strong Catholic faith, which guided her throughout her life. As a nurse, she dedicated herself to caring for others with compassion and grace, touching many lives through her kindness and devotion. She brought comfort, warmth, and strength to those around her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know and love her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mary’s Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Douro, on Thursday May 14, 2026 at 11:00am. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery followed by a light luncheon in St. Joseph’s Parish Hall.
