Maureen Patricia Secchi

April 5, 1938 ~ June 8, 2026 (age 88) 88 Years Old

Obituary

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Maureen Secchi (Carpenter) of Peterborough, Ontario, announces her peacefully passing on Monday 8th June 2026 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

Born in Surrey, England on April 5th, 1938, she was the beloved daughter of Eileen (Moore) and Noel Carpenter.

Maureen immigrated to Canada in 1958, arriving in Montreal before making her way to Toronto where after meeting Frank, they married on April 4, 1959. Together they built a life of mutual devotion, unwavering partnership and raised their family. She is survived by her loving husband, Frank.

She was a phenomenal mother to Michael (Mariette), Donna (Michael) and Paula and was an adored grandmother to David, James, Alec, Bradley, Jeremy, Austin, Cameron and Eriq.

Maureen was known for her quick wit and zest for life. She loved traveling, gardening and spending time with her family whom she would have moved heaven and earth.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 26th 2026 at 2:00pm at the Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, ON. All who loved Maureen are welcome to attend and celebrate her beautiful life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Salvation Army.
