It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Scott Brooks, in his 88th year.
Scott is now reunited with Viola.
Father to Kathy and Nancy, and very proud of seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. His home, his heart, and even the hockey rink were always open—even to the countless teammates and friends who came to know him simply as "Grandpa."
Whether it was at the baseball diamond or the hockey rink, Scott was happiest cheering from the sidelines and listening to his walkman. He never missed a game and took genuine pride in celebrating every hit, every goal, every shutout, and every milestone.
Scott's legacy is one of unwavering love for his family, kindness to everyone he met, and a life measured not by the years he lived, but by the countless games attended, hugs given, stories shared, and lives touched.
Sinatra is done playing, the car door has closed, and he's now watching from above the press box.
Forever in our hearts. Always our Grandpa.
