It is with heavy hearts that the family of Stephen Morrow Shadbolt announce his passing at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the age of 83.
Stephen was the devoted and loving husband of Catherine "Cathy" Shadbolt (née Crowley). Proud father of Nicole (Bradley) and cherished grandfather of Katie and Christopher, who brought him immeasurable joy. Beloved son of Marjorie and the late Walter Shadbolt, and dear brother of Jamie and Patti Ann. Stephen will also be fondly remembered by the entire Crowley family, including David and Irene, his longtime friend Rob Dainton, and the many lives he touched throughout the years.
Sales was Stephen's career—Entertainment was his calling. Whether he was organizing and setting up shows, working as a DJ, or simply sharing a story, Stephen had an incredible ability to bring people together. His greatest gift was making people laugh. He loved creating memorable experiences, filling rooms with music, smiles, and laughter, and ensuring everyone around him was having a good time. His warmth, wit, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Stephen's life during a Celebration of Life Reception on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough.
In memory of Stephen, donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
