Wilma Joy (Young) Traynor

Born to the late J. Albert and Ruby Young in Outlook, Saskatchewan where they lived during the Depression and Great Dustbowl before moving to Mannville, Alberta. Sister of Keith (the late Marg). The family returned to their roots in Peterborough during her teens. She graduated from PCVS and then from Peterborough Civic Hospital School of Nursing, Class of ’53. She worked as a staff nurse and then unit manager of Labour and Delivery until 1991.

She married her love, Bill Traynor in 1953. He passed away in 2017. Together they farmed in Otonabee Township. Loving mother of Debra (Keith Kidd) and Greg. Devoted grandmother of Kylene Kidd (Mike Kamink), Brad Kidd (Casey), Nicole Traynor and Venessa Traynor. Great grandmother to Rylan and Kayde Florence, and Briagh and Nolan Kidd.

Her passions were family, gardening, and farming.

A private family graveside service will take place at Little Lake Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
